Vikasji Walawalkar for extending his generous hand for all the school projects.
I have immense pleasure in presenting the Annual Report of the great progress made by the school in its bid to provide quality education and excellence in sports by the students in the year 2022-23 on the auspicious occasion of its 20th Annual Day Celebrations.
SCHOOL has completed 24 fruitful years with various milestones. We have sailed a long journey and have upgraded to CBSE in the year 2020-21. This institute has grown to become Senior College run in collaboration with Mumbai University’s GICED. Our institute offers education from Class Nursery to Class XII in Science Stream and then B.Sc. and M.Sc. in two vocational courses that are Biomedical Instrumentation and Psychological Health and Behavioural Science with 100% placement.
Our commitment has been to ensure the overall holistic development of our students in addition to our efforts to impart the best education. We also provide equal importance to sports, physical education and extracurricular activities for all-round development of the students. All our school activities and information is published on our Website: www.svjctemschool.com.
At present, there are 934 students on rolls with well-trained 56 Teachers, 2 Administrative staff and 10 Supporting staff. A team of qualified teachers also visits regularly from Pune and Mumbai to offer guidance to the students of our school.
It’s our pleasure to notify you that for all the years we have maintained meritorious 100% S.S.C. and H.S.C. result. 2021-2022 batches brought an excellent result in the Board Examination. 60 students appeared for Class 10 CBSE exam, Mast. Anamey Devrukhkar, the School topper, scored 95.40% marks. In Class 12 CBSE exam Ms. Diksha Vaidya topped with 85% marks.
We make it a point to keep teacher-pupil ratio to 1: 30 so as to pay personal attention to the students and thus ensure steady academic progress. The students are admitted on First Come First Admission basis. Our school does not accept any kind of donation from the students or raise funds for school amenities.
Our facilities include quality infrastructure with separate well equipped Physics, Biology and Chemistry Laboratories. This school possesses two state-of–the-art Computer Labs separate for Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary section with altogether 60 computers with round the clock free internet facilities. Computer education is offered from Std. First. We are so fortunate to have a well-stocked library, spacious, airy attractively painted classrooms and indoor playground with colourful rubber flooring, E-Learning facility, Science Activity Hall housing about 60 science projects, the special Art and Craft room where the students are trained to explore their artistic potential. The most important is the Atal Tinkering Lab where young children get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of (STEM) i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. This lab has been setup to provide opportunities for various levels of tinkering, creating, innovating based on student’s inclinations.
The students are encouraged to make working models and projects in Science, Social Science and Maths and provide an opportunity to exhibit them in Science Exhibition. Our Atal Tinkering Lab with all the equipment and 3D Printer in place, has benefited the students in thinking novel ideas and being technology-friendly.
This year we are celebrating Dervan Vigyan Mahotsav as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, an initiative of Govt. of India to activate India by fuelling it with the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. This Mahotsav is jointly organized by Shri Vithalrao Joshi Charities Trust’s English Medium School and Junior College of Science and Vigyan Bharati, the National Movement for Swadeshi Sciences dedicated to the integrated development of Bharat through the intervention of science, engineering and technology.
The purpose of organizing Vigyan Mahotsav is to make the students aware of contribution of Indian Scientists in the freedom struggle and to educate them about India’s contributions to the world of science and technology.
The activities, workshops and competitions related to Science are being conducted. Addresses of eminent personalities and experts working in various fields of science and technology are being organized.
Inspired by Dervan Vigyan Mahotsav, students came up with innovative ideas and tried to put them in work. Ms. Swara Pomaje from Class 6 was selected to present her project ‘Techmon’ at Youth Innovators Competition organized by IIT Mumbai and secured 4th rank at National level.
We motivate our students to participate in various competitive examinations and provide special coaching free of cost.

We celebrate national and international days and festivals by organizing variety of activities such as shlok recitation, essay writing, elocution, singing, storytelling, debate, Quizzes, chanting abhang, handwriting, drawing, Fancy dress etc.
Theoretical knowledge is not enough. So we conduct workshops to give children work experience such as making models & clay articles, paper bags and paper art, painting, making artistic scented candles, utane, organic soaps and greeting cards, building forts, colouring lamps, etc. in which students enthusiasm is worth mentioning.
