India is also emerging as next Space Superpower. Today’s youngsters are our future and the learned young force will definitely bring us the brighter future. Students have natural curiosity about the world we live in. It is the need of the hour to ignite them to learn Space Science.

SVJCT School at Dervan has taken an appropriate step to introduce Space Science by creating the Space Lab under the mentorship of Air Chief Marshal Pradeep V. Naik (Retd) which will be a great encouragement for the aspirant students of our school as well as nearby schools.

The Space Lab – An Interactive Space and Astronomy Activity Centre at SVJCT School is planned with the purpose of educating the rural students and encouraging creativity and spirit of enquiry among the students about basic concepts in sky and space exploration. It is important to develop the students’ interest in Astronomy and Space Science during school years so that they may take up these subjects as their career. Hence a dedicated Space Lab is created at our school to introduce these subjects in an interactive and entertaining way.
